Training and Help Desk Support for the National Source Tracking System

The National Source Tracking System (NSTS) is designed to be intuitive and user-friendly. Nonetheless, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) offered training sessions at several locations around the country for licensees interested in using the online method for reporting. For those unable to attend the training sessions, the NSTS offers a number of tools, including computer-based training, application help, a users' guide, and tools for navigating through the system. The Frequently Asked Questions About the National Source Tracking System also provide useful information.

In addition, the NRC has established a Help Desk to assist users by answering questions and resolving issues related to credentialing, login procedures, system use, transaction reporting, and any problems encountered in using the NSTS. Users may also contact the Help Desk to submit system change requests (to remedy defects or enhance functionality). Each inquiry is logged and tracked for future reference. Help Desk availability is as follows:

Hours: Monday – Friday: 8:00 am to 7:00 pm (ET)
Phone: 1-877-671-6787
Email: NSTS.Help@nrc.gov
