2017 Fuel Cycle Information Exchange (FCIX)
The 11th Fuel Cycle Information Exchange (FCIX) was held on June 13-14, 2017, at the U.S Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Auditorium, located at 11545 Rockville Pike in Rockville, Maryland. Over 100 attendees representing government, industry, members of the public, and other fuel cycle industry stakeholders from the United States and other countries participated.
The FCIX is hosted by the Office of Nuclear Material Safety and Safeguards (NMSS), Division of Fuel Cycle Safety, Safeguards, and Environmental Review (FCSE). This conference provides a forum for NRC staff, industry representatives, licensees, and other stakeholders to discuss regulatory issues of mutual interest related to the nuclear fuel cycle, including: licensing, certification and inspection of nuclear fuel facilities for uranium conversion and enrichment; nuclear fuel fabrication and deconversion of depleted uranium tails.
In 2019, the FCIX will be incorporated into the annual Regulatory Information Conference (RIC).
