Our future relies on the new ideas and energy brought from college and university campuses to NRC. We’ve developed a number of special educational initiatives, summer programs, and internship opportunities that put NRC at the top of any students short-list of potential employers.

We welcome recent graduates with bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degrees and strong academic backgrounds in health physics, earth sciences, or engineering to join our hands-on apprenticeship program. This opportunity allows you to gain real-world experience by working alongside technical experts. Our comprehensive apprenticeship hones technical skills and emphasizes personal growth and self-awareness. You’ll be part of a group of fellow recent graduates who will navigate the program together, with guidance from senior members who will mentor you, help shape your career path and support your professional development. We hire graduating law students or judicial law clerks with strong academic records; excellent writing, research, and advocacy skills; and an interest in the interplay of law, science, energy policy, environmental concerns, and public policy. We hire graduating third-year law students, graduate law students, and current judicial law clerks with strong academic records, excellent analytic and writing skills, and an interest in administrative and environmental/energy law, to serve as judicial law clerks. We hire college or university students pursuing undergraduate and graduate degrees in science, engineering, and other disciplines related to the NRC Mission. The student participants integrate alternating periods of academic study and work experience, or parallel periods of academic study and work experience. Applications for the Temporary Summer Student program are accepted between September and October.
