TH22 Nuke Kids on the Block
This panel will provide a forum for young nuclear regulators from around the world to discuss how their organizations are recruiting and retaining the next generation of nuclear safety and security talent. This may include perspectives on knowledge management and transfer, leveraging educational opportunities and grants, training, benefits, and more. The session will also foster a discussion of how agencies are employing their junior staff, preparing them for future advancement, and ensuring that diverse viewpoints are heard. The session is a follow on from the "Youth Panel" discussions held during the IAEA's "International Conference on Effective Nuclear and Radiation Regulatory Systems: Preparing for the Future in a Rapidly Changing Environment" that was presided over by Chair Christopher T. Hanson in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, in February 2023.
