TH21 Advanced and Cutting-Edge Reprocessing Technologies for Spent Nuclear Fuel

Reprocessing of spent nuclear fuel has emerged as a potential solution for issues with the back-end of the nuclear fuel cycle. Extensive research is being conducted on the subject, and industry is expected to roll out specific reprocessing ventures in the near-term. This session primarily aims to highlight the technologies, design features, and processes being considered for implementation. It will also touch on the NRC's preparatory needs and the identification of unique challenges and issues associated with reprocessing.
