W10 Effective Global Communication During an Emergency
The geopolitical climate and related communication strategies continue to evolve. Building public trust today is more critical than ever. In the spirit of openness and transparency, government and industry communicators must be prepared to disseminate timely and accurate information to all stakeholders, using all available communications tools, especially during crises and emergencies. A panel representing the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, the International Atomic Energy Agency, the news media, academia and international experts will discuss the most effective communications strategies, including the use of social media as a primary communications vehicle.
