T8 The Odyssey of an Export for Advanced Reactors

This session will explore the role of multiple entities involved in the life cycle of nuclear exports, with a focus on exports supporting new and advanced reactors, from license application to shipment and receipt at the final destination.  It will include the considerations given to regulatory requirements, foreign policy issues, international agreements, and transport of the commodity.  This session will provide the audience a better understanding of the basis for nuclear export control and the steps that various entities—both governmental and commercial—must follow to successfully export a nuclear commodity.
