Due to a lapse in appropriations, the NRC has ceased normal operations. However, excepted and exempted activities necessary to maintain critical health and safety functions—as well as essential progress on designated critical activities, including those specified in Executive Order 14300—will continue, consistent with the OMB-Approved NRC Lapse Plan.

Jessica Norles

Jessica Norles is a Foreign Affairs Specialist in the Office of Nonproliferation Policy at the U.S. Department of Energy/National Nuclear Security Administration. Her responsibilities in nonproliferation policy are focused on Nuclear Cooperation Agreements and their associated Administrative Arrangements, nuclear material accountancy issues, export controls, and fuel bank initiatives. Ms. Norles received a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia.
