Reports

The Reports section gathers NRC's recurring operational and safety reporting. Event Reports and Power Reactor Status Reports track daily plant conditions and reported incidents. Inspection Reports document findings from NRC oversight activities, while Research Findings and Reports cover technical and safety studies. Fact Sheets offer plain-language summaries of NRC topics, and the Inspection Manual sets out the procedures NRC staff follow when inspecting licensed facilities.

Documents

The Documents section provides access to NRC's official record collections. ADAMS Public Documents is NRC's searchable repository for publicly available agency records. Document Collections organizes materials by type, such as Commission papers, NUREG publications, and regulatory guides. Documents for Comments lists draft reports and proposed regulations open for public review, and Archives preserves older records and past agency communications for historical reference.

  • ADAMS Public Documents. Cloud-based ADAMS Public Search for finding NRC records and official agency documents.

  • Documents are available to the public at or through the Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS).

  • The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission affords the public opportunities to comment on proposed rules and policies, licensing actions, and technical docs.

Communications

The Communications section houses formal correspondence issued by the NRC. Commission Documents include papers, orders, and other records reflecting decisions and direction from the Commission itself. Generic Communications, such as bulletins, information notices, and generic letters, convey safety-related information, guidance, or requirements from NRC staff to licensees and other stakeholders across the industry.

Data & Tools

The Data & Tools section provides access to NRC's structured datasets and supporting resources. NRC Data includes high-value datasets on reactors, inspections, enforcement actions, and emergency preparedness, published under open government and data transparency requirements. SCP Portals offer secure channels for related submissions and access. Information Quality reflects NRC's compliance with federal guidelines for the accuracy and reliability of disseminated information.
