TH27 Non-power and Advanced Reactors: Merging of Two Worlds
This session will explore how research reactors and other non-power facilities and the development of advanced reactors impact one another. Panelists will share how insights from designing, licensing, constructing, and operating non-power facilities are informing the development of advanced reactors, such as the use of small-scale non-power reactors to demonstrate novel fuel, coolant, and fabrication, and how the technology development and licensing approaches for advanced reactors are influencing the non-power facilities.
