W17 Emergency Operations Centers–Evaluation and Response to Nuclear-Related Accidents

Federal, State, and international agencies have emergency operations centers to process, evaluate, and communicate the information from an accident scene to their stakeholders. This technical session will look at how different agencies have set up their emergency operations centers to respond to all hazards. It will touch on the specialized products needed to respond to an accident at a nuclear power plant. The session will also discuss recent changes to the NRC’s Incident Response Program.
