Florian Baciu

Florian Baciu is the Response System Coordinator in the IAEA Incident and Emergency Centre (IEC) since 2008.

He coordinates the response activities (information exchange, provision of public information, performing assessment and prognosis, providing assistance on request, coordinating with other International Organizations) performed in regard to nuclear and radiological emergencies communicated to the IAEA. He is coordinating the preparing and deploying of the IAEA assistance missions following requests for assistance received from IAEA Member States.

Florian Baciu holds a BSc in nuclear physics and a PhD in physics, in the field of environmental radioactivity measurements and modeling.
