New Jersey

NRC's Regional Office in King of Prussia (Region I) is responsible for carrying out the agency's duties in New Jersey. No nuclear fuel cycle facilities are located in New Jersey.

On September 30, 2009, New Jersey became an Agreement State and assumed responsibility for Part 40 licenses within its borders, and also has jurisdiction over x-ray equipment, naturally occurring radioactive materials, and certain radioactive materials that are not produced in a reactor.
