TH26 Technology Advances in Regulatory Decisionmaking for Nuclear Reactors
Sponsored by the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation
This session highlights initiatives proposed to advance the regulation and oversight of nuclear reactors. Highlights include the NRC’s Mission Analytics Portal (MAP) for licensing and inspection tools, MAP-X for providing external access to data, incorporation of lessons learned from the COVID19 public health emergency, future iterations, and perspectives from other stakeholders. This will be a good opportunity to tell the stories of what the NRC has developed with MAPX, Web-based relief requests, Rango, and other tools. The session also gives the potential for a dialogue with industry representatives about similar efforts they are engaged in, how they can take advantage of these and similar NRC technologies, or how these technologies affect their work.
