W20 Lessons Learned from the Implementation of Risk-Informed Initiatives
Sponsored by Region III Office
Over the past few years, the NRC has approved a variety of risk-informed licensing actions. The proper implementation of these programs is important for licensees as well as the regional offices as they conduct follow-up inspections. This session will consist of industry and NRC representatives providing their perspectives on lessons-learned and challenges in integrating risk-informed initiatives into plant operations and regulatory oversight activities. As risk-informed license amendments are incorporated into site-specific licensing basis, the participants will discuss plans and activities to ensure these initiatives are well understood throughout their respective organizations.
