James Andersen

Jim Anderson manages the Federal Coordination Team in the NRC's Incident Response Program and was the NRC's lead exercise coordinator for the Southern Exposure 2015 exercise.  He joined the NRC in 2008 and worked in emergency preparedness until transferring to incident response in 2012. He supported the NRC's response to the Fukushima Dai-ichi accident by communicating the NRC's status of the event to Federal partners and preparing senior agency leadership to communicate with stakeholders.  Prior to joining the NRC, Jim worked as a consultant for the Department of Homeland Security Infrastructure Protection programs and the U.S. Navy's Strategic Systems Program.  He served as a submarine officer in the U.S. Navy.
