Purpose
The purpose of this predecisional enforcement conference is to discuss the circumstances surrounding two apparent violations of NRC requirements that were identified following a spill of uranium from an annular tank overflow that occurred on January 19, 2023, which resulted in the failure to meet the requirements of 10 CFR 70.61(b) and 70.62(d). These apparent violations are discussed in NRC Inspection Report 0700027/2023-006 dated May 5, 2023 (NRC’s Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML23115A020).
