Purpose
The purpose of this meeting is to discuss proposed changes to the 10 CFR 2.206 process described in Management Directive 8.11, "Review Process for 10 CFR 2.206 Petitions,” based on recommendations from the report of the NRC's Expert Evaluation Team on concerns pertaining to gas transmission lines near the Indian Point Energy Center. This is the second public meeting to gather insights from external stakeholders and to solicit feedback on the 10 CFR 2.206 evaluation process. This meeting is a follow-up to the August 18, 2020, public meeting where the NRC staff presented proposed changes to the 2.206 petition process and attempted to answer questions from members of the public.
