Purpose
Discuss the applicability of eXtended Finite Element Method (XFEM) and alternate technologies for modeling flaw propagation in complex, 3-Dimensional components. A presentation will be given by an NRC contractor on their experience with XFEM, and other presentations are currently planned. We are looking for others (within industry or Government, including international) who would be interested in presenting (in-person or via video) or discussing their experience with XFEM or alternate technology modeling of crack growth in complex structures.
