Purpose
NRC staff plans to conduct a public observation meeting with NEI on the remote ERO white paper and discuss its path forward on NEI’s white paper. This white paper discusses actions to enable members of an ERO to respond remotely to an emergency. Additionally, NRC staff plans to discuss processes for potential NRC endorsement of the white paper via the expedited regulatory guide process.
