Provide external stakeholders an opportunity to ask the NRC staff questions about the draft revisions to BTP 7-19 (ML23222A237 and ML23222A219), which has been published for public comment. The NRC staff will not be collecting comments on the BTP during the meeting. To provide comments on the draft revision go to https://www.regulations.gov, search for Docket ID NRC-2023-0181, and follow instructions for providing comments.

The BTP 7-19, which is part of the standard review plan for light-water reactors, provides the NRC staff with review guidance for evaluating an applicant’s assessment of the adequacy of defense in depth and diversity for a proposed digital instrumentation and control system. The revisions update the guidance to incorporate the expanded policy described in SRM-SECY-22-0076 (ML23145A181 and ML23145A182).
