Purpose
The purpose of the meeting is for the NRC to inform and solicit external stakeholders’ feedback on the NRC staff’s plan to expand the current policy in SRM to SECY 93-097, to address Common- Cause- Failure (CCF) in digital I&C systems to include the use of risk-informed approaches . The meeting will include a presentation by the NRC staff to explain and fully engage the stakeholders in a discussion of the proposed SECY paper. The opinions, perspectives, and feedback received at this meeting will be used to inform the development of the final SECY paper and other follow-up regulatory activities and actions.
