Purpose
The NRC staff will share insights and lessons learned in applying regulatory tools for digital instrumentation and controls (I&C) modernization projects. This workshop will primarily focus on NRC and industry perspectives on the licensing and inspection lessons learned from recent digital I&C modernization projects, and Human Factor Engineering (HFE) reviews including Integrated System and Multi-stage Validation (ISV and MSV) Testing. Members of the public and Utilities interested in modernizing digital instrumentation and controls in their plants are encouraged to attend.
