Purpose
The purpose of this teleconference between Energy Northwest (the licensee) and the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff, is to discuss a planned license amendment request (LAR) regarding deletion of certain license conditions relating to license renewal commitments for the Columbia Generating Station. This operating license (OL) change clarifies that license renewal commitments may be changed via 10 CFR 50.59 since the details of the commitments have been relocated from the OL license conditions to the license renewal updated final safety analysis supplement.
