Purpose
The purpose of this meeting, between STP Nuclear Operating Company (STPNOC) and the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff, is to discuss a proposed license amendment request to revise the moderator temperature coefficient (MTC) surveillance requirement for South Texas Project, Units 1 and 2 (STP). STP is proposed to be a pilot plant for a process/justification that is applicable to multiple plants for the beginning and end of cycle MTC to be determined by verification instead of by testing.
