Purpose
The purpose of this meeting is to discuss proposed changes to Chapter 2 sections of NUREG-0800 – the “Standard Review Plan for the Review of Safety Analysis Reports for Nuclear Power Plants: LWR Edition” (or SRP) – based on lessons-learned from previous review activities. The specific sections were listed in a series of Federal Register notices published on September 28, 2018 (83 FR 49132 and 83 FR 49139). The staff seeks feedback on sections 2.4.6, “Tsunami Hazard,” 2.4.9, “Channel Migration or Diversion,” 2.5.3, “Surface Deformation,” and 2.3.3, “Onsite Meteorological Monitoring Programs.” In addition, the staff intends to describe future changes to the remaining SRPs in Chapter 2.4 consistent with the changes currently proposed to SRP sections 2.4.6 and 2.4.9, which the staff intends to seek comment on in calendar 2019.
