Purpose
To conduct a public scoping meeting for the Nuclear Regulatory Commission’s Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for Holtec International’s (Holtec) license application to construct and operate a consolidated interim storage facility (CISF) for spent nuclear fuel at a site in Lea County, New Mexico. At the meeting, the NRC will receive comments from the public on the appropriate scope of issues to be considered in, and the content of the EIS.

Interested members of the public will have approximately 3 to 5 minutes to speak depending on the number of persons who wish to participate. Spanish-speaking staff will be available at the meetings to assist with translation if needed.
