The NRC’s Document Control Desk receives, manages and distributes all formal correspondence, reports, and other written communications from the applicant. Applicants primarily submit documents to the DCD through an online portal called the Electronic Information Exchange (EIE). Information and guides for EIE can be found on the Electronic Submittals Application page. EIE can encrypt and handle proprietary and other sensitive documents from applicants. Applicants must avoid sending design-related or other important documents directly to an NRC staff email address, especially if they contain sensitive information.
