A Graded Approach to Advanced Reactor Cybersecurity

Sponsored by the Office of Nuclear Security and Incident Response
This exhibit will provide an overview of the NRC's efforts to develop new regulations and associated guidance for advanced reactor cybersecurity. These requirements and associated guidance aim to provide a regulatory framework that accounts for the differing levels of risk within advanced reactor technologies. The proposed regulations and associated guidance will apply a consequence-based, graded approach to determine the level of cybersecurity protection required while accounting for the wide range of advanced reactor technologies under development.
