Jonathan Chesebro

Mr. Chesebro is a Senior Nuclear Trade Specialist in the Office of Energy and Environmental Technologies at the U.S. Department of Commerce’s (DOC) International Trade Administration (ITA). He is responsible for devising and implementing international trade, investment, and export promotion strategies that strengthen the global competitiveness of the U.S. civil nuclear industry. Mr. Chesebro also serves as the Designated Federal Officer for the Civil Nuclear Trade Advisor Committee (CINTAC), an industry advisory committee to the Secretary of Commerce on civil nuclear trade issues.

Prior to his current position, Mr. Chesebro covered the aerospace sector at ITA and spent time in the Office of International Affairs at DOC’s National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. He previously worked with the U.S. Department of State in the Economic Section at the U.S. Embassy in Buenos Aires Argentina and at the U.S. Export Assistance Center in Denver, Colorado.

Mr. Chesebro as a Bachelor’s degree from Middlebury College and a Master’s degree from the University of Denver’s Josef Korbel School of International Studies.
