W16 The IDHEAS Program–New Human Reliability Analysis Methods for All NRC Applications
Sponsored by the Office of Nuclear Regulatory Research
This session will introduce the NRC staff and the industry to the new suite of human reliability analysis methods built by the NRC, the Integrated Human Event Analysis System (IDHEAS), to handle all nuclear applications. These applications include in-control room, ex-control room, Diverse and Flexible Copying Strategies (FLEX), fuel cycle, medical applications, etc. The purpose of the introduction will be to gain familiarity with the method and to promote the use of these enhanced ways of analyzing human events in the nuclear domain. The audience will learn about the development, validation, and testing of the methods. Attendees will also learn about the ease of use of the methods and their applicability to everyday nuclear applications.
