Brent Heilman


Brent Heilman is the Nonproliferation Program Lead within the Strategic Security Sciences Division at Argonne National Laboratory and serves as Argonne's Relationship Manager with DOE/NNSA’s Office of Nonproliferation and Arms Control (NA-24) as part of Argonne’s National Security Programs.  He serves as a Technical Lead for the US Delegation to the Nuclear Suppliers Group and provides technical support to NNSA's Office of Nonproliferation and Arms Control in preventing proliferation and ensuring peaceful nuclear uses.  Brent has advanced knowledge of export controls and regulations, sensitive nuclear technology, technological aspects of proliferation, and technology security.  His technical proficiencies include the nuclear fuel cycle, nuclear materials, radiological controls, and nuclear reactor systems (civilian and naval).  Brent has a BS in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Illinois, completed coursework in Nuclear Engineering at the Bettis Reactor Engineering School, and has an MBA from DePaul University.
