Eva Brown

Ms. Brown is a Senior Project Manager in the Division of Operator Reactor Licensing, Associate Directorate for Operating Reactor Oversight and Licensing, Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation.  She is currently serving as the Senior Project Manager responsible for Knowledge Management/Knowledge Transfer and Infrastructure and serves as the Power Uprate Subject Matter Expert.  Ms. Brown currently supports new project manager training and qualification activities in NRR, leads the development and teaching of courses for the NRC related to operating reactor project manager and technical reviewer licensing, and serves in the NRC incident response center as a member of the Reactor Safety Team.  Since joining the NRC in 1992, she has served in positions of increasing responsibility, including qualification as a BWR Operations Inspector and project manager, assignment as a Resident Inspector at the Brunswick Nuclear Plant, which included leading the onsite NRC activities during September 11th at Harris Nuclear Plant.  She has also served as the project manager for the Exelon fleet and ten facilities located in the east and mid-west, and served in the operations center as one of the BWR Analysts during the Fukushima Earthquake and Tsunami. In February 2017, Ms. Brown received the Black Engineer of Year Award – Professional Achievement Government, in recognition of her accomplishments. Ms. Brown received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.
