Amir Vexler currently serves as the Global Nuclear Fuel (GNF) Chief Executive Officer. GNF is a world-leading supplier of boiling water reactor fuel, and fuel-related engineering services. He has responsibility for all of GNF’s activities.
Amir began his career as an engineer working in various industries including steel, automotive, and consumer-products.
He joined the GE Canada Nuclear plant in Toronto, Ontario, in 1999 and since then he served as the Toronto Plant Manager, and the Plant Manager of the Nuclear Fuel Assembly Operation in Peterborough, Ontario. In 2007 he was assigned to manage the Wilmington Field Service Center and in 2008 he was appointed to lead the fuel and related components manufacturing operation for GNF-A in Wilmington, NC. In 2014 Amir was appointed to the role of GNF-A Chief Operating Officer and was appointed the Chief Executive Officer of GNF in October 2016.
Amir holds a BASc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toronto and an MBA from the Willfrid Laurier University.
