Anthony Gody, Jr.

In December 2014, Tony was assigned to his current position as the Director of the Division of Reactor Safety in Region II.  Prior to this position, Tony served as the Director of the Division of Fuel Facility Inspection for four years and as the Deputy Director, Division of Construction Projects for three years.

Tony has worked for the Nuclear Regulatory Commission since 1989.  Tony has served in every NRC location with the exception of Region I, and has served on an extended inter-agency rotational assignment as the Deputy Assistant Manager of the International Space Station for NASA.

Prior to joining the NRC, Tony served for 10½ years on active duty in the U.S. Navy’s Nuclear Power Program.  During this period he served as a Reactor Operator and Instructor, completed the Navy Enlisted Commissioning Program, and qualified Engineering Officer of the Watch.

Tony holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Florida and a master’s degree in Construction Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
