W22  International Perspectives on Nuclear Security

The NRC routinely works with its regulatory counterparts and multinational organizations, such as the International Atomic Energy Agency, through cooperative activities to enhance nuclear security. These activities allow the NRC to exchange best regulatory security practices with partner organizations.

The purpose of this session is to discuss a range of international security issues, including efforts to enhance security in other countries; the upcoming third international regulators conference on nuclear security in Morocco; the International Atomic Energy Agency's various security efforts, including the Convention on the Physical Protection of Nuclear Material and amendment universalization; and NRC international security activities.
