Integration of Hostile Action-Based Events into Emergency Preparedness Programs

Sponsored by the Office of Nuclear Security and Incident Response

This poster shows how the implementation of the hostile action based (HAB) regulation has demonstrated that working together—the licensee, the offsite emergency management agencies, first responders and LLEA—has developed yet another important line of communication and cooperation.

HAB exercises are a new platform from which to exercise the coordination and performance of the newly required emergency response resources, assets, processes and procedures.  The HAB exercises provided an excellent opportunity for licensee’s and offsite responder’s to use and implement and the new, response resources, assets, processes and procedures.
