Clay Johnson

Mr. Robert Clay Johnson joined the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) in May 2002 as a security specialist in the Office of Nuclear Security and Incident Response (NSIR) and has held positions of increasing responsibility within the reactor safeguards and security programs in NSIR. Since that time, he has held a number of positions including Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Detailee; leading interagency teams from NRC, U.S. Coast Guard, Federal Bureau of Investigation, DHS Risk Management Division; Chief, Integrated Response and Interagency Liaison Branch, NSIR; and Chief, Security Performance Evaluation Branch, NSIR. In 2015, he was selected for the NRC SES Candidate Development Program. Mr. Johnson is currently the acting Deputy Division Director in the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation, Division of Inspection and Regional Support.
