Mark Kirk

Mark has been working in the area of fracture mechanics and structural integrity assessment for over 30 years. Before joining the NRC in 1998 he worked for the U.S. Navy's David Taylor Research Center, for the Edison Welding Institute, and for Westinghouse.  At the NRC his work focuses on the reactor pressure vessel safety, specifically embrittlement prediction and probabilistic assessment. He is active in both ASTM and ASME.
