Rebecca Tadesse

Rebecca Tadesse joined the NRC in 1998 as a Health Physicist in the Office of Nuclear Regulations and is currently the Branch Chief of the Radiation Protection Branch in the Office of Nuclear Regulatory Research.  Prior to this position, Ms. Tadesse served as Material Technical Assistant to Commissioner Magwood and Lyons. Previously, Ms. Tadesse worked as a Senior Operational Assistant staff in the Office of the Executive Director for Operations. She also has held several positions with increasing responsibility in NMSS, including Health Physicist, Project Manager, Technical Assistant to the Director, and Branch Chief.  Prior to her appointment with NRC, Ms. Tadesse worked for Commonwealth Edison Corporation, General Atomics, and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Ms. Tadesse earned a B.S. degree in Health Physics from Purdue University and an M.S. degree in Environmental Science/Policy from Johns Hopkins University.
