Jim Riley

Jim Riley is a Senior Technical Advisor for the Nuclear Energy Institute.  He is responsible for NEI’s interface with several industry organizations including ASME, ANS, and the NSSS owners groups, and for the management of the regulatory aspects of a number of technical issues including several Fukushima response issues and ECCS gas accumulation (Generic Letter 2008-01).

Before joining NEI, Mr. Riley was employed by Duke Engineering and Services.  At Duke, Mr. Riley was responsible for the operation of the Lusby Maryland engineering office and for the management of projects undertaken in support of the Vermont Yankee nuclear power plant.

Mr. Riley received a B.S. degree in Aero Space Engineering from the University of Notre Dame and a MBA from the University of Pittsburgh.

NEI is the policy organization for the nuclear industry.  It is responsible for establishing unified industry positions on generic matters affecting the commercial nuclear energy industry, including the regulatory aspects of generic operation and technical issues.
