DeLisa Pournaras

DeLisa S. Pournaras is a Principle Engineer and the BWR Vessel & Internals Program Owner in the Corporate Engineering Programs Department at the Southern Nuclear Corporate Office in Birmingham, AL.   The department is responsible for governance, oversight and support of engineering programs established to protect the integrity and reliability of structures systems and components at Plant Hatch, Plant Farley, and Plant Vogtle.  These programs include BWRVIP, ISI, IST, Steam Generators, Heat Exchangers, License Renewal, and other programs.  Prior to this position, Mrs. Pournaras acted as the Hatch Flow Accelerated Corrosion Program Owner at Corporate, and as a Chemistry Engineer and a System Engineer at Plant Vogtle with a focus on radiochemistry, service water chemistry and secondary chemical injection systems. Mrs. Pournaras also worked as Production manager in training at Carpenter Chemical Company at its Chemical Blending facility in Pasadena, TX prior to employment with SNC. Mrs. Pournaras received a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from Auburn University.
