Joselito O. Calle

Mr. Calle serves as Manager, Watts Bar Dual Unit Interface and Transition.  He is responsible for developing and managing the key activities to ensure a successful transition of the Watts Bar site from single unit to safe and reliable dual unit operations.

Mr. Calle joined the Tennessee Valley Authority in 2012 with more than 30 years of professional experience in the nuclear field including power plant and fuel facility construction, operation, design, maintenance and modification.  He has provided technical services to utilities and component fabricators in nuclear vessel and component design, fabrication, installation and service.  He is well versed in the areas of quality assurance, licensing and regulatory compliance.  Prior to joining TVA, Mr. Calle worked in the NRC Region II office.  First, in the Center for Construction Inspection where he assisted in the development and implementation of the construction inspection program, and then in the Division of Fuel Facility Inspection where he served as a Branch Chief overseeing the operation and construction of uranium conversion and enrichment facilities.   He has also worked as a consultant to the nuclear industry specializing in major plant modifications such as steam generator and reactor vessel head replacement, as a utility lead design engineer and as a submarine officer in the U.S. Navy.  Mr. Calle is a licensed Professional Engineer with a Bachelor of Science degree in Ocean Engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy and a Master of Science degree in Environmental Engineering and Management from the Catholic University of America.
