Joseph Jones

Joseph Jones is a Distinguished Member of Technical Staff at Sandia National Laboratories with almost 30 years experience.  Mr. Jones has a BS in Civil Engineering  and leads a wide variety of projects with the NRC related to emergency preparedness and response.  He has extensive experience in radioactive materials management and cleanup activities both nationally and internationally.  Mr. Jones was the project lead and author of NUREG/CR-7160, “Emergency Preparedness Significance Quantification Process: Proof of Concept,” and has authored many additional NUREG/CRs related to evacuation time estimating and emergency preparedness.  He is also the Project Manager of the State of the Art Reactor Consequence Analysis (SOARCA) project for the ongoing Surry Uncertainty Analysis.
