Nathan E. Bixler

Dr. Nathan Bixler has worked at Sandia National Laboratories since receiving a PhD from the University of Minnesota. Since joining Sandia, he has worked on Yucca Mountain, WIPP, evaluating source terms with the VICTORIA code, and developing the RADTRAD for dose assessment. Over the past 10 plus years, his work has focused on developing, applying, and training others in using the WinMACCS suite of codes, including MACCS, SecPop, and MelMACCS. Dr. Bixler is a member of the ANS/ASME writing group on Level-3 PRA standards, the primary instructor of the NRC course on Level-3 Consequence Analysis, and member of the IAEA working group on Level-3 PSA guidance.
