John Sipos

John Sipos serves as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of New York.  In that position, he has served as the State's lead counsel in connection with the applications to renew the operating licenses for the Indian Point Unit 2 and Unit 3 facilities north of New York City.  In addition, he organized the State of New York's participation in the 2008-2010 waste confidence rulemaking proceeding and ensuing litigation.  Mr. Sipos has also represented the State in a petition seeking enforcement of fire safety regulations at the Indian Point facilities as well as other rulemaking proceedings, decommissioning funding matters, and litigation concerning regulatory exemptions and the design basis threat.
