Brooke Poole

Brooke D. Poole joined the NRC in 1998, as part of the agency’s Honor Law Graduate program, and served as an attorney in several divisions of the Office of the General Counsel. In 2001, Ms. Poole joined the firm of Winston & Strawn, LLP, as an associate. Ms. Poole re-joined the agency in 2004 to serve in increasingly responsible positions in OGC’s Division of New Reactor Programs. She also has served in the Offices of former Chairmen Nils J. Diaz and Dale E. Klein, the Office of Human Resources, and the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation. Ms. Poole was appointed Director of the Office of Commission Appellate Adjudication in 2008. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from the University of California at Berkeley, and a law degree from the George Washington University.
