Paula Marino

Paula Marino serves as Vice-President – Engineering for Southern Nuclear. In this role, she leads the engineering effort for the existing fleet of nuclear units and is responsible for Technical Conscience. Since joining the Southern Company in 1993, Paula has served in Distribution, Transmission, and as the Assistant to the President of Southern Company Generation. She has also served as Manager of Planning and Engineering Services, the business unit of Engineering and Construction Services, and the Manager of Environmental and Retrofit Projects – Alabama. Most recently, she served as General Manager of Design for Engineering and Construction Services. In this role, she led the detailed design effort for retrofits, environmental and new generation projects for the Southern Company Generation fleet of plants. Paula is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, the National Society of Professional Engineers and the Alabama Society of Professional Engineers. She is also a member of several organizations within Southern Company and serves in various capacities in church and community service groups. A native of Enterprise, AL, Paula graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering and Master of Science in Electrical Engineering. She has obtained her Professional Engineering License in the States of Alabama, Georgia and Mississippi.
