Amy Chamberlain

Amy Chamberlain is the Nuclear Development Regulatory Affairs Manager for Southern Nuclear. In her role, she primarily supports Vogtle 3&4 construction licensing needs, and serves as a consultant in the development of new nuclear oriented business lines. She has been supporting the Vogtle 3&4 project since 2014 when she came on-board with Southern Nuclear as a Licensing Engineer, then stepped into leadership roles as Licensing Supervisor in 2016 and then Manager in 2019.

Prior to joining Southern Nuclear, Chamberlain was the Severe Accident Technical Lead for the Babcock and Wilcox mPower Small Modular Reactor (SMR) program, and she also served as a Safety Analysis Engineer for the mPower design from 2011-2013.

Prior to that position, Chamberlain held various positions at AREVA Np Inc. including those in Thermal Hydraulics,Neutronics, Safety Analysis, and Severe Accident Analysis.

Born and raised in Indiana, Chamberlain earned her bachelor's and master's degrees in nuclear engineering from Purdue University in 2004 and 2006, respectively. She is a Licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Virginia.
