Tracey Bishop

As the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Nuclear Infrastructure Programs, Tracey Bishop is responsible for the management of the Office of Nuclear Energy’s infrastructure programs at multiple sites, including the Idaho National Laboratory. With over 28 years of experience, Ms. Bishop directs a large portfolio of infrastructure programs that enable critical nuclear energy research and development activities for multiple federal and industry customers.

Ms. Bishop also serves as Nuclear Energy’s primary interface with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration to develop and deploy space nuclear power systems to support space exploration goals, including the Mars 2020 and Dragonfly radioisotope power system missions and fission power and propulsion demonstration projects.

Ms. Bishop holds a Bachelor of Nuclear Engineering degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Maryland. In 2015, Ms. Bishop received the Presidential Rank Award (Meritorious Rank) for her sustained accomplishments in the area of nuclear infrastructure management.
